Since 1970, 1.4 million Americans have lost their lives to gunfire. In all the wars that have been fought by the United States we have suffered 1.3 million deaths.
The question remains: Why have we been willing to spend so much of our nation’s treasure on war and so little on firearm safety? Has our security in our own homes and country been sacrificed at the altar of firearm profiteers?
Are there any of your readers out there who can explain away these grim statistics by justifying the proliferation of weapons of war turned against our citizens?
